Sports car and vintage racing is infinitely more fun to go to at Watkins Glen than NASCAR.

Reasons

1: More cars on track and more time with cars on track

2: Access to almost everywhere except hot pits.

3: LESS PEOPLE TO DEAL WITH

4: Camping at the track.

5: Access to the garages and cars

6: Cooler cars.

7: Better variety of cars

8: They run the boot, NASCAR doesn't

The vintage GP is so great because as far as I've seen no one is there to pussyfoot around the track, even in the 918 that showed up last year. All the big name Trans Am cars were sliding around battling each other too. The Posey challenger, Follmer/Gurney Mustangs, Pensky Camaro's....

If youre a nascar fan the Glen is one of the most highly anticipated races of the season because at least the action at the front/ middle is always compelling.

Having said that the track grounds on nascar weekend are a complete shitshow and its near impossible to get around town/ back out to the wineries. Drunk assholes are definitely out in force last I went they'd jump on our golf carts so we had to move fast through the crowds. At least one bro ended up on his face

We just got out of NNS race and that was amazing. I like the racing its just the NASCAR only fans walk around drinking and smoking and just aimlessly walking around.
